One of the leading fashion houses released their Burberry 2024 Fall Campaign on Wednesday morning. Made under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, the Burberry 2024 Fall Campaign is a seamless blend of functionality and heritage. In the past years, Burberry has undergone various internal changes, including Jonathan Akeroyd replacing Marco Gobbetti. Despite all this, Daniel Lee came up with an innovative idea for his Burberry’s Fall campaign film.
While explaining the campaign film, Daniel Lee argues,
‘Grounded in functionality, designed for protection against the elements. Discover the new collection inspired by the British Isles and our heritage of outdoor exploration’.
Daniel Lee has taken inspiration from his deep connection to nature in the British Isles. This is why the campaign film seemed like Daniel Lee is making an effort to get Burberry to its century-old roots, where the designs may celebrate the spirit of outdoor exploration and the serene nature of the British Isles.
Lee’s longtime collaborator, Tyrone Lebon, has taken the seat for the photographer. This 42-year-old London-based photographer has previously worked with Burberry in their Spring 2024 campaign, too.
The Burberry 2024 Fall Campaign film (directed by Arthur Williams) was beautifully shot in the Lake District, the UK’s largest national park. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, the Lake District was indeed the ideal location to shoot this campaign film. The natural beauty of the lake not only enhanced the visual narrative but also resonated perfectly with Daniel Lee’s vision to make this campaign film.
Burberry 2024 Fall Campaign Review
As stated by Daniel Lee, this collection aims to seamlessly blend Ireland’s rich heritage with modernity. And, by watching the campaign film, we’ve got to say—the collection might prove to be a testament to the brand’s enduring craftsmanship and innovative spirit.
If we talk about the campaign film, it embraces an indie aesthetic with a raw, unpolished edge. Moreover, the cinematography is deliberately grainy, with muted colors evoking a sense of nostalgia. On top of that, it has a mysterious tune that goes like, ‘I’ll make you fun again’. The lack of dialogue or narrative further enhances its impact. Honestly, the Burberry 2024 Fall Campaign ad is like an art house film.
If we talk about fashion, there is everything one may expect from Burberry: classic trench coats, field jackets with multiple layers, cozy duffle coats lined with shearling, Check wool kilts bringing traditional Scottish garments, double-breasted suits with Savile Row-inspired tailoring, and a wide range of bags. Speaking of bags, our eyes easily captured ‘The Tent Bag’ (inspired by the legendary Equestrian Knight iconography) and ‘The Rocking Horse Bag’.
